I’m sure many of you have seen the Guitar Behavior Chart for the classroom floating around on Pinterest lately. Mainly this one from The Inspired Apple.
I think it’s absolutely adorable! Since Cason is starting kindergarten next year, I started thinking maybe I should introduce the idea at home.
So obviously I need to change it up a bit. I can’t have the “All Tour Dates Cancelled” refer to contact parents and see principal
So I came up with this!
I’m super excited to start putting it together for him this weekend. Hopefully it will give him some motivation to behave! 😉
The concept is simple. Green is the starting point. For good behavior you move them up, for bad behavior you move them down. You can customize this in any way you please to fit your preferences and your child 🙂
Finally finished it this morning!

See what I did there?
As some of you already know, I recently got a new sewing machine. Something I’m super excited about.
For the record, my previous machine was also a Brother and is 20 years old… I’m 23… It’s the machine I learned to sew on as a child.
As sad as I am to see it go… It was time.
I HIGHLY recommend the Brother brand to all who enjoy sewing. From beginners to experts!
I absolutely ADORE my new machine… Plus its PINK!!!
For those of you wondering about the features, cost, and reading customer reviews of “my” Limited Edition Lauren Ashley CX155LA Brother sewing machine click >>> HERE <<<
Geez my Brother XL-3010 looks ancient compared to my Brother CX155LA
Anyways, back to all the colors! I’m super excited about my current sewing project!
Something I wish I would have learned a long time ago is the importance of keeping dust OUT of your machine, I was a kid, I didn’t know any better! Regardless, my old machine still lasted me 20 years… And for the record, it still works 99% of the time… It’s just VERY outdated and missing a few parts… Which I couldn’t even begin to tell you what parts I’ve lost to it over the years… And RIDICULOUSLY dusty on the inside!!! I honestly have no clue how to even take it apart to dust and oil it (something else that’s EXTREMELY important to do that I didn’t know as a kid)
So back to the dust part… Since it’s so important to keep dust out of your machine, one of the first projects I decided to do was make a sewing machine cover to keep the dust away!
My daughter absolutely adores her Owl Pillow. I made this for her when she was still in my tummy 🙂 It’s actually a Tooth Fairy pillow with a little pocket on the front between the two wings.
Anyways, I will be working on a tutorial soon! Make sure to follow me so you’ll see if when I post!
So I’ve been seeing a TON of corner page bookmarks on Pinterest lately. I mean tons of them. From monsters with teeth, to Angry Birds, to just about any animal you can imagine. I think they are absolutely adorable… For kids that is… I wanted to make myself one that “spoke” to me.
Awhile back I had bought several pieces of card stock and decorative paper from Michael’s when they went on sale. This particular cream script design has been screaming my name. “Make me into something beautiful KeLeigh!”
Okay okay, we all know the paper wasn’t actually talking to me, but I think you all know what I’m talking about.
So I’m sitting there starring at it tonight trying to figure out what I should make with it… As I’m lost in thought, Aria walks up to me holding a book I’ve been TRYING to read… Knocking out the bookmark that was holding my place… BINGO! I knew what I wanted to make!
Isn’t it ADORABLE??? I love it!
Soooooooooooo, I figured I’d make a little tutorial to share with y’all!
So to start off, we need to gather the supplies:
- – Scissors
- – Glue Stick

- – Glue Dots or Hot Glue (Not Pictured)
As of May 19th 2014, Being KeLeigh is under construction. Keep checking back! Don’t forget to subscribe!
But in the mean time, I love and I mean LOVE Pinterest! Borderline obsessed with it actually. However, I HATE when I go to pin something and it’s just a photo, absolutely no link to the site. It seriously makes me want to throw my laptop over the balcony.
I mean come on, how are you going to post a picture of an amazing looking, I mean absolutely mouth watering, meal and have no link to the recipe!
Or better yet, a DIY project that you MUST do the second you see it because it’s a solution to a problem you’ve had FOREVER and there is no link to a tutorial.
And I know all you fashionistas out there want to cry when you see the perfect dress and grab your credit card only to find out the photo is just a photo. No link to a place you can buy it!
I’m pretty sure my face looks like that when it happens… At least this is the face I make when Christopher drives… Please excuse my lack of make-up. It was a rough morning.
